The balance was updated in 1995. Its upper part was modified so that the Moving Belt, as well as the four Rollers for the rotation of car wheels, could be integrated into the balance.
At the same time, all the electronic components and measuring systems (load cells, amplifiers, etc.) were replaced with electronics of the latest generation.
The balance can be used for measurements on small-scale models too, the precision of each component being very high.
The measuring ranges and their relevant precision are reported in the following table:
| Aerodynamic Forces | Measuring range (N) |
Precision (N) |
|
|---|---|---|---|
| Drag | W | 0 to 2000 | ±0.30 |
| Front Side Force | S1 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.60 |
| Rear Side Force | S2 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.60 |
| Front Left Lift | A1 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.30 |
| Front Right Lift | A2 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.30 |
| Rear Left Lift | A3 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.30 |
| Rear Right Lift | A4 | -2000 to +2000 | ±0.30 |
The maximum load capacity of the balance is 2500 Kg.

It is, moreover, equipped with a lifting system, integrated into the balance. Using this system, a vehicle can be lifted up to 300 mm above the ground without being removed from the balance.
This provides easy access to the car underbody area and thus allows for quicker interchanges or modifications of underbody fairings.
